Wherever You Are

Where can I go from your spirit?
    Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
    if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
If I take the wings of the morning
    and settle at the farthest limits of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
    and your right hand shall hold me fast.

I last practiced law 19 years ago.  And since leaving behind my former occupation, I’ve moved 5 times.  And no matter how many years have passed and how many times my address has changed, advertisements for continuing legal education still find their way to my mailbox.

So it is with God’s love.  No matter where you go, no matter where you are, no matter how long you’ve been away, no matter how far away you travel, God’s love is always seeking you out and inviting you in.

This is the love God has for every single person, and this is the love God can create in every single person to share with every single person.  This is a love that is always outreaching and never gives up.
